Mission: 3531 AL
Location: Kymos Hold
Timeline: M2 D29

A'ren woke the next morning, actually feeling a bit more refreshed. It had been a long time since he had slept in at all. If only he could get a couple more nights like that he might actually catch up on missed sleep.

):But mine, Yours has been gone for a while now.:( Zarminath said.

**What?** A'ren questioned, sitting up. It didn't take him long to realize Lana wasn't beside him. **Where are they?**

):Chasing the clouds,:( he answered.

}: You promised not to tell him.:{ Kalaith said as she circled the hold and landed next to the big bronze looking smug. She had fed on a buck and was feeling happier despite Lana looking flustered as she climbed down awkwardly in a dress and A’ren’s jacket. She rushed back to the rooms that the Weyrleaders had been given for the night.

The bronze lowered his head. He had promised but when his rider seemed worried he instantly told the truth. ):sorry.:(

A'ren hadn't even made it out of the room before Lana came rushing back in. He raised a brow at his mate. “Ah, a bit frazzled?” He asked. .

Kalaith just snorted and settled down on the warm ground, sleepy with her stomach full. “What?” Lana wondered innocently as she slipped out of his jacket holding it out to him.

Zarminath crooned at his mate, hoping she wasn't mad at him.

A'ren chuckled a bit as Lana handed him his jacket. “Did you get any sleep last night?” He asked.

“A few candlemark. I had hoped to be there and back before you woke up.” Lana admitted sighing as she looked down at her half tied dress relieved that she had not passed anyone important or that anyone had noticed how she looked. She had not been able to find anything other than her dress and his flight jacket to cover things.

“Gotta love the dragons,” he grinned, figuring Kaliath had been why she had been awake so early. He tried not to laugh when he realized her dress was half tied. “Would you like help or are you gonna leave the dress for a bit til we have to meet for breakfast?”

Lana looked at him and rolled her eyes. “I am going to change A’ren. I could not find anything other than my dress from last night and your flight jacket because Kalaith was hungry .” Lana sighed as a knock echoed from the door and Lana rolled her eyes looking at the man as he was in less clothes than her. She strode across the room to the door and opened it to a young drudge stood there carrying a tray with several mugs of klah.

“The Lord Holder saw you return and thought as your were awake you might need this Weyrwoman.” The girl said politely handing over the tray to Lana’s thanks.

A'ren smiled. He could understand that. Zarminath had done that to him a few times. He glanced toward the door, glad she chose to answer it as he wasn't ready to embarrass himself. He grabbed his pants though and quickly pulled them on.

“That was kind of him,” A'ren said, seeing the tray and hearing the young voice.

Lana smiled politely at the girl as she left. “Kind of him. Embarrassing for me.” Lana said once the door was closed and she stood there holding the tray. “Sharding fog,” she muttered to herself.

“The fog?” A'ren asked, walking over to take the tray from her so she could change if she wanted to. He set the tray down and poured two mugs.

“Kalaith heard through the dragon grapevine that there was fog back home and decided she was starving.” Lana said softly as she shifted out of her dress and started to look through her formal clothes to change into.

“Ah that makes sense. I know you never feed her,” he teased. Which wasn't true at all. Lana took great care of her gold. A'ren found his own shirt before handing Lana a steaming mug.

“If you did not look so handsome, I’d throw that klah over you,” Lana commented, standing up with a dark blue dress in her hand, grinning as she took the mug and took a sip of it.

A'ren smiled innocently. “That wouldn't be very nice of you,” he pointed out, sipping on his klah. He knew she was teasing at the moment.

Lana rolled her eyes as she stood there in her chestband and underwear for a moment as she shook her head at him, fake glaring. “Well, I am not a very nice person according to some people,” Lana commented as she sat on the bed.

“Then they just don't know you very well,” he grinned at her, enjoying the view. He would really rather she didn't get dressed again. “How long before breakfast?”

Lana glanced at the clock on the mantelpiece and smiled that she was able to see for once the time. She kept forgetting to get the one in their Weyr wound up. “A candlemark or so.” She said turning her gaze to her klah.

“Then come here,” he grinned, gently tugging her onto his lap. That meant they didn't have to rush and could enjoy a little time together.

“A’ren!” The woman yelped as he tugged her close and she just managed to get the klah out of the way so it indeed did not end up all over him as she threatened.

“Yes?” He asked innocently. He hadn't really considered the fact they could be wearing the klah after his little stunt.

Lana looked at the man amazed that he could look so smug and so innocent. She rolled her eyes as she put the klah mug down by leaning over to the side table. “You could have been scarred.” She pointed out laughing.

He laughed as he wrapped his arms around her waist. “Wouldn't be the first time,” he pointed out, kissing her neck. “And it would have been worth it.”

Lana shook her head as she wrapped his arms around him. “Thread scars are different from weyrmate spilling klah over you.” Lana wandered sighing at his kiss on her neck.

“True,” he laughed. “But it would still make quite a story.” He was glad he didn't have to worry about that though. He held her close, enjoying having her close.

“Oh are these the stories you and the male riders tell when I am not there?” Lana asked, pulling back a little as she looked at the man grinning.

“Maybe,” he grinned. Those stories always managed to get blown way out of proportion. It could get quite entertaining though.

The Weyrwoman rolled her eyes, knowing his grin far too well. “Stupid. Male. Rider. Pride.” She said punctuating each word with a kiss to his lips. Lana grinned before kissing him properly.

“Bronze rider,” he pointed out when he could talk again before she kissed him properly. He leaned into her kiss, pressing close to her.

Lana laughed at the way he pointed out it was a bronze rider thing. She pressed him back on the bed kissing him softly as his hand trailed up her bare skin. They might not have had the energy last night but they certainly did now.

He smiled up at her as she pushed him back onto the bed. He leaned up and kissed her again, his hand running down her leg. He definitely wasn't in a hurry for this morning to end.
